Take a deep breath, wrockers and friends. What do you notice? That’s right, that’s the smell of a fresh Jam! (Raspberry jam? No, a creative jam session!)
In September, our prompt was smell. If I haven’t caught wind of what you made, please let me know!
I wrote a poem from the basilisk’s point of view, titled I Can Still Smell Them:
My chamber chills, and one last circle
Wet stone, algae slime
Sewer gas, cast iron, rust
I’ve slept so long, but you are here now
Fresh rats, leather shoes
Metal held by human skin
Another sleep, another waking
Old books, chicken blood
Outdoor dust, adrenaline
A chase at last, alive though hurting
My blood, feathers, ash
Human blood and sweat and fear
The Bookish Hufflepuff made a pitch and a jingle for a new potion:
AROtentia! It’s the potion you use to help everyone understand your aromantic feelings. Unlike amortentia, it smells like the user’s favorite things to everyone. It is so strongly and uniquely you that it explains aromanticism to anyone who wants to ask you out, in a way they can fully understand and appreciate.
With just one smell, any suitor can tell, “its not you, it’s not me it’s romance.”
For October, our prompt is generosity.
The goal here is just to get creative, have fun, and share if you wish. Whether that’s a song or a dance or a project no one’s tried here yet, I look forward to learning about it!
