Welcome to another Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam! If your creativity has been waning, perhaps this can bring inspiration anew.
For May, with its two full moons this year, the moon was our theme.
I recorded a demo version of a werewolf song called “While the Moon is New” because I couldn’t find any wrock about that phase.
Lyrics:
There are days now and then
I can almost forget
I can almost feel as though I’m free
There are nights full of stars
When I know who you are
When I know who I am and I’m me
I’ve still got the scars
I can trace their lines
Trace their ache
But it feels like mine
I don’t even care
If they’ll fade in time
Not while the moon is new
There are days full of sun
When I don’t need to run
When I don’t mind wherever we go
There are nights I can rest
Feel my heart in my chest
Feel my heart beating steady and slow
I’ve still got the scars
I can trace their lines
Trace their ache
But it feels like mine
I don’t even care
If they’ll fade in time
Not while the moon is new
There are days I can feel
My joy of being who I could be
There are nights I would steal
For a lifetime of looking
And sounding and feeling like me
I’ve still got the scars
I can trace their lines
Trace their ache
But it feels like mine
I don’t even care
If they’ll fade in time
Not while the moon is new
Celia of The Bookish Hufflepuff made one of her signature collages. She says:
My goal for the prompt of “moon” was to create something that didn’t have to do with werewolves, the most common association for the word in Harry Potter. So instead, here’s a question we’ve always wondered – who is L. Moon?

From Harry and the Howlers, we got a sneak peek at their upcoming album, Werewolf Liberation, with a short track called “Moony, Moony”:
Lyrics:
Remus Lupin lived on the edge
Remus Lupin stood on the ledge
All the wolf’s friends and all the wolf’s men
Couldn’t piece Moony together again
June’s theme draws from nature again, but this time a bit more down-to-earth, with flowers. As usual, you can play with any medium you choose, and nothing has to be perfect. Have fun, and show us what grows!
