Weekly Wrock Wrap Up

If you happen to be in the Gloucester, MA, area today there will be a screening of The Wizard Rockumentary at the Cape Ann Community Cinema. It starts at 5pm, and it is part of a fundraiser for a local independent bookstore.

Real Wizard Rock is looking for people to help transcribe lyrics to your favorite wizard rock songs. Instructions on applying can be found here.

Normally we don’t announce every new band that pops up, but I have gotten several messages from wizard rockers this week regarding a new band, Fudge Factory. All the messages have included some pretty cryptic remarks, so help me figure out what the deal is here.

Steph of Tonks and the Aurors was interviewed by 77 SQUARE for an article about her show in Madison this weekend with Neville’s Diary.

The Hogwarts’ Spring Fling on March 14 with The Black Sisters, Riddle™, Romilda Vane and the Chocolate Cauldrons, Siriusly Hazza P, and Split Seven Ways raised £50 for Comic Relief. Awesome job!

Gred and Forge has posted another new song, ‘Angelina Come On’ from his upcoming CD PitchesWitchesRiches. The CD will be available on iTunes and for order at his MySpace on April 1st.

The Quaffle Kids have a new song up on their MySpace, ‘Wizard Babies’.

Siriusly Hazza P posted a blog entry with links to all sorts of videos from the Spring Fling.

Luke from Ministry of Magic has a new YouTube channel for his own music.

Couldn’t make it to Kansas? Karin Westman of the KSU English department has compiled a list of video links for the entirety of the Hallows&Horcruxes ball this year.

    I’m digging “Cornelius is Back”. I totally think you guys should continue to announce new bands who have music up. Maybe as a separate thing from the WWWU?

    And man, I wish I could be at a Tonks/Neville show. Lucky Wisconsinites…
