More Material Means More Music

While the release of The Tales of Beedle the Bard wasn’t quite as exciting as, say, Deathly Hallows, we now have even more canon material to add to the Potterverse. Two of our wizard rockers have already put that to good use, creating EPs based on the stories.

Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills recorded six tracks for his EP, The Bard EP, and is selling it exclusively on tour. If you can’t make it out to see him, try and find a friend to grab you a copy. You don’t want to miss these songs, plus the EP contains bonus tracks that will appear on his next full-length album.

The Butterbeer Experience has an EP of her own, Songs from Beedle the Bard, that is now available for pre-order. The EP will contain five tracks, one of which is titled ‘Fair Fortune: The Wrock Opera’. ‘Fair Fortune’ is a 15 minute track, featuring Christy Mowrey of Hawthorn and Holly, Kristina Horner of The Parslemouths, Jason Munday of Ministry of Magic, and Erin Pyne of The House of Black. You can read more details at The Butterbeer Experience‘s blog here, and don’t forget to check out her MySpace for a preview.

    I’m sorry I can’t get Justin’s but I can’t wait for Lena’s!!!!! It’s going to be so good.

Actually, on the back of Justin’s cover it says “sold exclusively on tour 2009” it doesn’t specifically say the wizards balls tour. Unless Freya got that directly from Justin, I’d go with what the cover says.

Hm, that is ambiguous. I’ve changed it to just say tour, unless I hear something different.

    Yay, news! 😀

I’ve just found thirty wrock bands that aren’t on the bands list; do you guys want the names and links now, or do you want me to hold them until things have settled down a little so it doesn’t feel as though you have too much stuff piling up?

Hey Marauder, can you send that list to me? freya at wizrocklopedia dot com
Dinah and I are slowly working on updating the bands page.
