After Careful Consideration

Dinah and I have decided to add another category to the WRPCAs.

This year, we want you to vote on who your favorite wizard rock website editor is. We realize that we aren’t the only wizard rock website out there, so please do your research and see who else might deserve this.

We have done you the favor of listing some factors that should be involved in your decision making. Keep these in mind while thinking about who to vote for:

– writing ability
– accessibility via email, comments, etc.
– other internet presence
– funniness
– amount of fandom experience
– number of wizard rock events attended
– number of wizard rock friends in bands
– fun-ness while intoxicated
– cuteness

Since some people have already sent in their nominations, we’ve made this category completely separate. You’ll be able to start voting on this tomorrow!
And by voting, I mean voting for ME.

    Uhm, wow, Freya. You sure didn’t have that last sentence in the mix when you had me “okay” the wording on this post.

    I just want to make it clear that this is not a competition of who is the better editor. But let’s be honest here… I totally fit, like, all of the factors listed. Seriously. Remember that, folks.

    And, Dinah, let’s face it. I appreciate the recognition that goes along with being an editor more than you do. You don’t even care that this is our door to internet fame. I know you would rather abandon us to start that Twilight band you’re always talking about. You know, the shirtless, girls-only one inspired by New Moon. What’s it called again? Our Shirts Lack for Jacob Black?

    I thought we agreed to officially leave out the “Comfy-est Couch” and “Best Ironing Board” factors because there was an unfair advantage. Low blow, Freya. Low blow.

    As for that band of mine, you were the one who encouraged me to follow my dreams. What happened to “You can do anything you want to that makes you happy and it won’t affect the fact that you are the greatest Co-Editor a girl could ask for.”?? Seriously.

    Besides OSLfJB is a hit. See? Even Jon’s a fan! And you’re aware of how very discerning he is of fine music.

    Psh. You know Jon’s obsession with belly buttons. Having a shirtless band gives you an unfair advantage with him.

    And also, there are plenty of PORTABLE ironing options. You just don’t care about the community enough to invest the $5. Not my fault that Jarrod comes here for ironing needs.

    Freya, you’re forgetting that while you’re sitting on your behind leaching what little fame you can from this site, Dinah is also writing way to many posts over at Daily Wrocket (seriously girl, take a vacation). Obviously she loves us more then you do and is more deserving of our vote.

    Just because Jon loves bellybuttons doesn’t mean I can’t exploit it.

    Lauren, I think one very important factor was left out… “Current Editors” should be the real title. You don’t care about us anymore and left us behind to be in your fancy-pants band. I’m in my own fancy band but didn’t leave the ‘Pedia. So there!

    Thank you for the show of faith, Matt! Heck yes, Daily Wrocket! *mumbles* Too bad something’s wrong with the site and I haven’t been able to fix it the past few weeks….

    Lauren – I’m tired of your talent and hard work getting you things you deserve. Save a little recognition for us little people.

    Matt – oh, you mean how I kept my commitment to the ‘pedia and didn’t start a competing site? I knew I should’ve made Dinah sign a non-compete agreement when we became editors. But who expects to be betrayed by a friend like that?

    I think we are all forgetting the most important contributor to this, or any other wizard rock website – the strangely hypnotic Category Sphere. SOMEWHERE IN THAT ROTATING BALL OF TEXT IS THE KEY TO ETERNAL LIFE.

    I nominate an editor of the Wizard Rock section of the Harry Potter Fandom wikipedia page. 71.235.51.149 (or as his close friends know him, Old Numberpants) single handledly provided citation where citation was needed.

    Old Numberpants did not resort to weasel words,

    and most importantly, by your criteria,
    Old Numberpants is so involved in the fandom, that Old Numbers knew that the Wizrockumentary included footage of the Whomping Willows _and_ The Remus Lupins.

    Team 71.235.51.149 respectfully requests that all further voting be closed due to the enormity of Old Numberpants extensive, tireless, and unending quest to make sure that the Wizard Rock section of the Harry Potter Fandom Wikipedia article is filled with veracity, importance, and unbiased information about the Wizard Rock community.
