Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam of 2022. As usual, our aim is to get a bit of creativity going in whichever medium you like. This month’s theme is at the end of the post. Before we get to that though, let’s go over December’s creations real quick.
December’s theme was quick creations. Sagan of Candle Wix made two spur-of-the-moment projects: a song and a meme, both recounting the recent struggles of Ludo Bagman and the Trash streaming a Bagmas celebration on Facebook, which was rudely stopped by the website itself several times. Their meme, below, made me actually laugh out loud.
Myself, when I think of quick things and I have music on the brain, I think of the Fingertips songs by They Might Be Giants. So, the night before last, I threw together a parody of one of those mini-songs.
In January, we’re all going to be trying hard to write dates correctly with the new year, so now seems like the perfect time to make our theme numbers. Hunt for 7s and 3s and 13s! Break out your numerology and arithmancy skills! Cover an artist like 142 Staircases, Paige 394, The 8th Horcrux, or Seven Potters! There are a million possibilities, and I’m counting the days until I see some of your ideas. (Okay, not literally, but let me have my number jokes.)
