The Wrock Wreview: The Electrowrock Singles

The Album

Hello and welcome to another Wrock Wreview! This is a compilation of three songs by electrowrocker Nearly Headless Nick. The Electrowrock Singles were originally released on March 1, 2007, and were rereleased on July 17, 2020. Try not to lose your head while you listen to these mixes!

The Tracks

Overdue Introduction is first up. Appropriately named, this track is about Nick introducing himself to the new Gryffindors. A fun and fresh remix, I was grooving along while listening to it.

I really enjoyed Panic at Hogwarts. Starting with a spoken: “Please, do not panic!” the music then segues into a frenzied and panicked instrumental mix. I can imagine students running into each other, trying to get to the safety of their own Common Rooms. I loved the variety of instruments that gets added as the track goes on.

Finally, The Castle Halls at Night finishes out these three singles. This track has echoing vocals and celestial-like instrumentals, as if we were floating through space. It has a meditative tranquil quality to it, and I felt very peaceful listening to it.

In Summary

I really enjoyed all three of these singles. Each one was completely unique to its theme while also having a connecting sound that made it clear that they were all made by the same artist. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness and quality that went into each mix. Check them out and let me know how you like them! Overall, I give these singles a rating of 3/3 House Ghosts.
