Question Tuesday – Let’s Hang Out!

questiontuesday

We’re always trying to come up with articles, interviews, and reviews that interest wizard rock fans, and we also have been kicking around some other ideas on sharing wizard rock with everyone.

Recently, Dinah came up with a great idea – why not have some live online listening parties, where a host plays wizard rock, and fans can get together to chat? Sounds pretty fun, right? So for this week’s Question Tuesday, we wanted to know:

What would you like to see in a potential new live show that features wizard rock and fan interaction?

Are there any formats or mediums that you think would work best? How about features, what would you like to see and hear? Maybe it’s shows dedicated to certain song topics, or musical styles, or having bands on the show to answer questions and talk about their music. What would YOU like to see and hear? Let us know in the comments below!

The HPA is having a livestream tonight with Harry and the Potters at 7pm. Who knows what will happen on the show but worth checking out! http://thehpalliance.org/live/

The Group That Shall Not Be Named (HP NYC) was hosting a series of online meetups for a while. Are they still? And I’ve stumbled on a few college and indie radio stations that will actually do a periodic wizard rock program. Are there any ongoing wizrock podcasts right now?

Wrockbox was a lot of fun when that was a thing. Whatever happened to it? I suspect it is another victim of wizard ADHD. 🙂

I’m thinking about having a “Golden Oldies of Wrock” section, featuring some of the newer music/bands coming out, and playing a game of “Name That Tune” during the show.

Anything else people would be interested in?

Anything you can think of! There’s the Witching Hour radio show/podcast, which does comment segments as well as themed WRock. I love it 🙂

I like the idea of theme nights. Maybe have a show for each book in the series? There’s seven shows right there for you! (Eight if you wanna do Beedle the Bard, though I can only think of Butterbeer Experience and JFF who have songs from that off the top of my head)
