Clare, an Australian musician who sometimes goes by the name “Tonks for the Memories”, uploaded a new video about the Wizrocklopedia, and asked some really good questions about what exactly it means to be a “wizard rock band” in 2013. I discovered wrock in 2006 and fell in love with it completely in 2007. After fronting a band that played too loud & sang too out of tune but got to perform at Wrockstock anyways, I traded in the guitar and drums for a keyboard to help with the ‘pedia. You may still hear (or see) me bashing away on the drums for other wrock bands.

    Oh hey, it’s my face. (Oh, quick heads up, I’m Australian, not from the UK – my accent is from Western Australia rather than the more well known ‘Australian accent’ from the Eastern states, so it’s a pretty common mistake).

    Also NEW WHOMPING WILLOWS ALBUM. YES PLEASE.

    Also yes please to Puffskein Experience EP which is planned to be released this summer 🙂

    Regarding Clare’s video, I say you’re a wizard rock act if you:
    a) call yourself a wizard rock act
    and
    b) write and/or perform music primarily about the Harry Potter universe

    That’s pretty much all it takes.
