You may have noticed that in the past few months, there haven’t been as many posts here. There are good reasons and bad reasons for this, but the important thing is that we realize that the best thing to do is not to let things languish any longer. Therefore, we are having an official RELAUNCH of the Wizrocklopedia on May 14th.
We’re not going to change anything fundamental about the site. The term “relaunch” is more just a fancy way of saying “deadline” for me and Dinah. Here’s what we’re planning:
Friday, May 14th: Announcement of the WRPCA winners!
May 15th: Freya’s wizard rock panel from Expeditious will be on our blogTV channel. The panel includes Alex of The Remus Lupins, Steph of Tonks and the Aurors, Tianna of I Speak Tree, Matt Sweeney, the nerdcore rep, and Monica Stone, our fandom rep. It’s possible that we will also have Dinah there (via Skype).
May 15th-17th: In-depth articles about what to expect this summer from wizard rock.
May 17th: The return of Muggle Music Mondays!
May 18th: The return of Question Tuesdays!
May 19th: The return of Wrock Wednesdays!
May 21st or 22nd: The premiere of Friday/Saturday Articles! (We’ll have a better name for it soon. Suggestions welcome.)
May 23rd: The return of our Weekly Wrock Wrap Up!
The thing is, running the site like we want to takes a lot of time and effort, so we need a bit of help. Here’s what you can do:
– Cheer us on! Let us know that you are reading the site and want us to continue.
– Consider writing for the ‘pedia. You can write reviews, stories about your experiences, news posts, whatever. Just email freya@wizrocklopedia.com and tell us a little about yourself.
– Consider doing other things for the ‘pedia. You can collect news, manage our flickr page, find great videos – there are plenty of other ways to help out. Just email freya@wizrocklopedia.com and tell us what you want to do.
We do this for you, so tell us what you want to see on the site in the future as well!
