Question Tuesday

Dinahsaur

We are just shy of two weeks into 2010, so I’d like to hear about your experiences so far. So here’s the question:

What’s the most exciting thing that has happened to you (or that you’ve done) so far this year?

The most exciting things I’ve done are… well, I swam the local Polar Bear Swim on New Year’s Day. That was a blast, actually! The other thing is I have hit the two month marker on the Daily Wrocket. I haven’t missed a single day and I don’t intend to for this total of 365 days! So that’s pretty damn exciting for me, if I say so myself.

    One of my best friends got married at a huge basilica with 350 guests the day after New Year’s. I was her wedding coordinator, and the stress nearly killed me, but the day went very well and I was so proud and so happy for my friend! It was a beautiful start to the year 🙂

    Right at this moment I’m doing something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time–I’m in Brooklyn spending 4 days learning about Judaism.

    I haven’t really done all that much in 2010, though perhaps the most exciting was my sister getting all her 08 and 09 EP of the Month CD’s and then putting most of them on my iPod.

    I got in a car accident – my mom was driving, a bus cut off the guy ahead of us, he slammed on his breaks, and we didn’t have time to stop safely. We’re okay, but the car may be a goner…the guy in front of us was okay, he just got a crack in his bumper.

    I found a new apartment that is much better for hosting house shows and sheltering all my wizard rock guests!

    (But we don’t tell my husband that’s why I like it so much.)

    SO, it’s New Years day, noon, and I’m coming home from a sleepover at my friend, Kay’s. I’m wearing my worst pjs, my hair requires washing, and my teenth have forgone brushing. I’m carrying a broken markerboard that had been making me bleed the night before. My grip falters, and the board slids between my ring and middle fingers, and cuts the skin open. I run into the house, into the bathroon (where my mum is getting out of the shower), and, blood flinging everywhere, have to quickly stick a bunch of bandages on it, put pressure on it, and get rushed to the ER. On four hours of sleep. I got five stitches. I JUST got them out, and the cut isn’t fully healed. BEAT THAT.

    Yeah…there’s no way I can beat that. I got my 09 Wrock EP of the Month CDs, that’s about the extent of it. Besides, I’ve been much distracted with my new obsession of an (old) tv show, and besides that, my whole family (minus me) is doing a Biggest Loser kick.

    So yeah, not much, but that last thing is a pain in my butt.
