    I just watched the live blogtv show about the awards with Chloé and we were so happy to win something! Thank you soooo much!
    and I’m pretty pleased with the other results. TRL totally deserved the Lifetime Achievement award 🙂 I’m just a little sad The Mudbloods didn’t win Best Song for “A Pensieve Full of Unrequited Love”… even if “Seven Potters” is awesome as well ^^

    Alright, at Remus Lupins winning for Beyond the Grave! I voted for them! Likewise, congrats at MoM for winning all the things they won (incl ‘Bravest Man I Ever Knew’, which is the most awesome song!), and also ‘Covah Yr Junk’ for best music video. Which was totally predictable, btw.

    Also, lol at ‘In Which Moaning Myrtle Moans’ — awesome song. And I’m also now interested in listening to ‘It’s Still Snowing’ and Madam Pince and the Librarians, who I was thinking of listening to anyway but forgot about.

    Congratulations to EVERYONE who won!

    In my opinion ALL wizard rockers deserve to WIN – just for being so damn awesome!

    I’m a little disappointed that it seems to be the ‘big’ names who took most of the prizes, although I guess that’s always going to be the case. Obviously they’re big because so many people like them and therefore they’ll always cull a larger percentage of the votes.

    I’d just like to say HURRAH for The Mudbloods winning with their E.P. ‘A War Amidst Pop Songs’. Personally I still think ‘A Pensieve Full of Unrequited Love’ should have won best song, but ‘Seven Potters’ is a pleasant enough song.

    Oh and HUGE congratulations to RiddleTM. Well done girls and keep up the good work! <3

    I’m actually fairly disappointed. There are so many EXCELLENT bands out there that are lesser known, and it kinda sucks to see all big name bands up there.

    Congratulations to everyone! I wish I knew sooner so I could have congratulated some of the winners at Leaky but I wasn’t at the programming and that hotel was ridiculous with internet. So I’m telling everyone now that they’re amazing and deserve it! 😀 <3

    this is literally the best comment i have ever seen on a post for this site. i think the mudbloods should have swept every category from best female vocals to best rap. i chanted dubberly through the whole ceremony.

    Yeah, I think there are a lot of great bands that don’t get nearly the credit and recognition they deserve. And while I have absolutely nothing against The Hungarian Horntails, hopefully next year they won’t get Best Youth Effort for the fourth time. If the only qualification a band needs for Best Youth Effort is to have at least one member sixteen or under, there are lots and lots of bands that are as deserving of it as THH are.

    Also, seeing as Switchblade Kittens and “Ode to Harry Potter” actual pre-date Harry and the Potters, I think they ought to get a Lifetime Achievment Award for *starting the whole entire genre!*

    I had a wonderful time watching the live awards, Freya and Dinah you did a great job!
    I’m also sorry to see that some people were disappointed. It is true the big bands won a lot, but they promote themselves and are out there all the time touring, but not everyone can do that. So I say, if you were sad that you didn’t see one of your favorite bands in that list HELP THEM OUT! Tell your friends, buy cds, help them set up shows if you are able to! There are a ton of bands and I know I can’t keep track of them all! I’m so happy I found out about Madame Pince and the Librarians because they are amazing and I didn’t know that before the awards!
    So come one people, lets spread the WROCK and spread the LOVE!!

    +1 to pretty much everything Kathleen said. “Big” bands won because people like them. Nothing wrong with that. If there’s a band you think was under-represented or not known well enough, then heck spend the next year talking them up and making people aware of them!! 😀 “Big” bands weren’t always so, and it was people talking about how much they like them, and promoting their music, that made them so.

    I’m bummed that I missed the awesome live ceremony BUT I am so happy for everyone that won, and a HUGE KUDOS goes out to Dinah, Freya, and Art for all their hard work in putting this all together!!!!

    Does anyone actually consider them the creators of the genre? The wrote one song that barely anyone knew about, while the potters wrote songs in their basement that just about everyone in this community knows by heart. The SBK didnt even release a “wrock” album until after most of the “original” wrock bands were out there and laying the foundation for the genre. Just sayin’

    In reply to what wrockfan1337 said about Switchblade Kittens, I totally agree with you. I don’t consider them the founders of Wizard Rock, I don’t even consider them as a Wizard Rock band.

    There are so many other bands who are entirely dedicated to Wrock, and The Remus Lupins are one of the best examples of that. Have Switchblade Kittens even played a Wrock concert? TRL deserve the Lifetime Achievement Award, for sure.
