Under-Appreciated Song of the Week

This week we take you Into the Pensieve with the song “Confessions of the Prince”.

This song has a very serious approach but it also has a bit of humor. The “Prince” confesses to Harry that he is actually his father and that James is not. It took me a minute after hearing it initially to remember that Snape was not actually Harry’s father, so you could say that this tune is very convincing. The music makes you take your imagination on a ride, envisioning how that scene would play out. Would Harry have gone into angst mode had it really happened? If a song can make you think outside of the box or forget the truth for even a moment, it has to be good.

In addition to being funny it is also very sweet song. You do get pulled onto the Team Snape side of things momentarily. The character is portrayed in a good light and the lyrics exhibit the sensitive side of Severus that we experienced in the last book.
