Under-Appreciated Song of the Week

After a short break, we are back with appreciating the under-appreciated once more, so for the start of March the pick is from a type of music the muggle world calls “ambient.” The band name is Spinner’s End and the song we appreciate this week is “Eileen.”

As a sucker for music without words, this song, to me, is perfection. It’s one thing to be able to take in lyrics and relate to a song but an entirely different experience taking in the sounds and environment of one with no words using just your imagination. In this instance, your imagination is left to run wild and your mood is suddenly uplifted and relaxed. From the beginning to the end, your mind feels like it’s entering a dream. You end up seeing a part of the Harry Potter series that may not necessarily be very specific. Harry Potter’s world can be expressed in many ways. Some seem different and confusing. This way isn’t quite a wrock norm, but it is an incredible experience.

Because you all are awesome and amazing, I know you will click here and join the ambient music fun!

If there’s a song you would like to suggest, PLEASE contact me via email at Leila@wizrocklopedia.com.
