After a number of inquiries, I am very pleased to announce that we will be repeating the event we began last year, the Wizard Rock People’s Choice Awards.

This year, however, we will be doing things a bit differently. Instead of a two-step process, winners will be chosen entirely by the amount of nominations they receive. Voters will send us their selections via email using a form on the site, the votes will be counted, and the winners will be announced. We couldn’t think of anything that epitomized the term “people’s choice” more than that!

Consequently, the time frame has shifted a bit. We will be accepting ballots between February 9th and 23rd, announcing the winners, just like last year, on March 1st!

We’ll be revising the categories only slightly. To prepare yourselves for making your selections, you can consult last year’s categories right here. Please note, only music made during 2007 will be eligible to win. Also, we encourage exploring more bands if you don’t know very many.
