Under-Appreciated Song of the Week

This week’s pick is going to be a bit different. I received a request for a song and the person who requested it described it better than I could have, so this week Eric Ellison will be picking the Under-Apperciated Song. It comes from the band Striking Down Diggory and its name is “What’s your Patronus.”

Ellison says “I think metal in the Potter music movement is kind of slim. Most of it is either epic style (overseas) or mixed with scary techno. Striking Down Diggory has some originality within wrock in that it has a mid nineties, sort of Deftones feel to it. They’ve gotten some good play, and the lyrics to ‘What’s your Patronus’ are funny. I mean he says ‘My Patronus is a Rocking Guitar’ and ‘Dementors rock instead of sucking my soul out’. How can you lose?”

I couldn’t agree more. Check it out for yourself here.
