Wizard Rocking All Over the Place!

The media coverage of wizard rock just doesn’t stop!

Salon has published another article about wizard rock called “For Harry Potter fans about to rock, we salute you.” NPR released a segment entitled “Wizard Rock: Harry Potter Goes Punk.” Norwalk’s CBS station’s contribution to wrock coverage goes by the name “Harry Potter Spawns New Musical Genre: Wizard Rock.” Eugene Weekly‘s is called “Raise Your Wands” while the Star Tribune‘s is called “Music for the magical masses: Wizard Rock.”

Also of note are “Potter craze summons up wizard rock,” “Wizard rock of ages,” “Harry Potter’s musical progeny” (about The Moaning Myrtles), and “Music to their ears” (about Philosopherock)!

Hey the Salon article was about us too. *pout*

I hate that the articles have no faith in wizard rock in the future. They basically assume that after the last book comes out all of the wizard rock groups will instantaneously disband and it’s all over and done. Pack up your instruments and head home kids, apparently we don’t have a future. =/

Yeah I know, I hate that too. It’s like, no one has SAID that. I dont think any one of US has ever said wrock is doomed.

But if you say something enough, it makes itself true, so lets all plug our ears when people say this kind of stuff.

I do believe in the fairies the future of wrock! *claps*

Sorry, Kristina! I fixed it 🙂

And yes, I hate when “the media” does that. Lame. I’m thinking of forming a Wizard Rock Preservation Society. Who’s with me?
