Under-Appreciated Song of the Week

This week’s pick is “Voldemort’s Return” by Dumbledore’s Army. It’s one of the funniest renditions of “I Will Survive” I’ve heard. I wasn’t expecting it to be like it is, the lyrics having been rewritten so well. It is a comically fitting song covering the events leading to Voldemort’s return. It was the first release from Dumbledore’s Army and, despite being a demo, it’s wrock worthy and far from a disappointment. Check it out on MySpace.

This new weekly column will feature a wizard rock song we feel deserves more attention. If there’s a song you would like to suggest, contact us via email at wizrocklopedia@yahoo.com.

I really love this song. And his new song, ‘And You Thought It Was Regulus” is really cleaver, too.

  2. Lizz Avatar

I like the part where he says something about imagining a wicked piano solo here 🙂

I completely agree. Bobby is a really cool guy, and Dumbledore’s Army will be playing with me in Virginia Beach next month! Woo!

I know some people around there! I should go, because I’d totally have a place to crash!

Yeah, this song is awesome, but ‘And You Thought It Was Regulus’ is much cooler and cleverer :D.
