Forsaken Records Withdraws

The record label released the following statement earlier today:

“We are shutting down! After much request, and understandably we were no where the point we should have been when we started. I openly agree with everyone about how the label was handled and that we shall no longer cause an uproar or bad stress to the WRock World! This will be the final post, WRock on you guys have a great future! Thanks to all the faithful!”

This decision is in regard to a statement published earlier this week by The Whomping Willows (available here) as well as questions and protest by other members of the community.

    Well, I was going to post my opinions on my MySpace page but was so upset and outraged at what I had heard that I had to take some time to calm down and think about what I really wanted to write. The more I waited the more information I found out. I totally agree 100% with Matt. I think the whole “record label” was being run wrong and for Denni to step down and close the label I think was the right idea. I myself have just re-started my WR band and am glad that I didn’t have to deal with being approached to “sign” to a label. I think that what happened was for the best and that we’re all better off without the label. Way to go Matt i’m so proud.
