This 12 song disc is an amazing embodiment of the Draco character, covering a range of emotions that only a Malfoy would be capable of.

It is dark yet poppy with a smooth sound many wizard rock bands have yet to attain. The band plays with sound to narrate bits of the familiar Harry Potter story from a perspective JK doesn’t provide us. It is full of playfully vicious attacks on Potter, but also demonstrates a depth of character we wouldn’t get otherwise.

“Potions Yesterday” is a catchy opener that I find myself humming at random intervals throughout the day. Track 3, “Pansy (You Are The Girl Of My Dreams),” is a sweet melody that lets us in on the sensitive side (?) of Malfoy. The song “Tom Felton’s Kinda Hot” is an unexpected gem while “99 Deatheaters” makes me want to dance. The closer, “Hippogriffs Deserve to Die” is dark and soulful with a headbangin’ ending.

Overall, this album is delightfully evil, catchy, and hard to resist.

It’s fun being the bad guy!
