Welcome back, wrockers and friends, and I hope you had a very happy Halloween! Whether or not you have sweet treats at home, there are some real treats in this post thanks to lovely people like you.
The Bookish Hufflepuff spun up not one but two full-size, double-page collages, all inspired by the song Sweet Wrappers by NEWTS and Dream Quaffle’s cover. She also wrote this commentary:
I used stickers, photos, and a few actual sweet wrappers (from the Harry Potter Hershey Kisses) to make a four page collage of Sweet Wrappers by NEWTS and with a beautiful cover by Dream Quaffle! I took some liberties with the lines on the second page because “Sweet Wrappers” is one of the songs that perfectly captures how Neville Longbottom’s life reflects major aspects of my own.
Lyrics in my collage: Page 1 – “Sweet Wrappers litter my trunk. I’m hiding in my four-poster while the others all have fun.”
Page 2 – “I wonder why I never fit in. And maybe I’m not brave enough” (based on Newts’ version), and then in smaller letters around the word “maybe”, the word “’cause” and around the word “brave,” the words “not that” (based on DQ’s version) “with a toad as a best friend. And I’ll never know why I was chosen to be a lion without courage and a heart upon my sleeve.”
Page 3 – “But I will stay another day here. I’ll fight the good fight. I’ll lead through my fear / tears.” (with the sword of Gryffindor as the slash.) “And I will show everyone What we can save That our weapon is LOVE!”
Page 4 – “To my past self, hear my prayer I don’t know if you see me here But I am, oh I am I’ve studied hard, didn’t get too far But I hope somewhere in your ?? that you know, that you know That I’m becoming the person that I hoped!”

The Galleon Guy gave us a bittersweet one-take song about real-world Halloween memories: I Do Miss Trick or Treat.
For November, we’ll gather around the theme of common room. Any medium you’d like to try is welcome, and nothing needs to be perfect. Come join us and get creative!
