Solo Acts Do More than Wrock

Sue and the Hufflepuffs and Roonil Wazlib are ambitious musicians

That’s right, our interview with January’s Bands of the Month has been released! This time around, Debora asks the Hufflepuffs‘ John and Roonil Wazlib‘s Molly about the pros and cons of being solo acts, what the wizard rock community means to them, where they see themselves in the future, and even how they like their eggs.

According to Molly, “If I hadn’t found the wizard rock community, I’d have so much less experience as a musician. It’s given me the motivation to play shows, release records, and write better every time.” John, meanwhile, thinks that, “…when I’m working on an album, it affects my life by allowing me to release creative energy (read: no sleep). I love the expressively allowed in Wizard Rock, and it allows me to experiment without fear.”

Awesome interview. I always love hearing/reading other wrock bands talk about the creative process, especially when the band is comprised of one person.

+1 for Arrested Development! I’m Oscar! Dot Com!
