Lauren Fairweather posted this wonderful, touching video on her YouTube page, chronicling the final Hallows & Horcruxes Ball; the video also features some archive footage from years past.

Thank you for putting this together for everyone, Lauren. It’s a fantastic reminder of how beautiful the wizard rock community can be.

I discovered wrock in 2006 and fell in love with it completely in 2007. After fronting a band that played too loud & sang too out of tune but got to perform at Wrockstock anyways, I traded in the guitar and drums for a keyboard to help with the ‘pedia. You may still hear (or see) me bashing away on the drums for other wrock bands.

    After losing quite a few years of my life to mental illness, I am thrilled to see that the Wizard Rock community still exists. I was a huge fan of the music and Harry Potter in general before, and now re-reading the books has brought back my love- I am sad to see that this ball was the final one. I hope to see Wizard Rock continue to be made and performed and enjoyed
