Question Tuesday!

There have been a number of wizard rock bands covering the music of other wrock bands they’re fans of. In fact there have been entire “tribute albums” dedicated to wrock bands, with some of their fellow wizard rockers covering their songs, often for charity. There’ve been a few really great takes and twists on some of those covers, so for this week we wanted to know:

What wizard rock bands would you like to see covering each other’s music?

I, for one, would LOVE to hear what a split 7″ of Muggle Death Camp and Swish and Flick covering each other’s songs might sound like.

So let us hear it! What two bands do you think would make an awesome combination when covering the other’s music?

Tonks & the Aurors and The Blibbering Humdingers – both have their own genre/styles – Steph has proved herself across multiple genres too, with loud, rockier songs, quieter melody-centric songs (her track on Jingle Spells 2 comes to mind) and her motown album. The Blibbering Humdingers on the other hand have a really cool fun/70s/B52s vibe, and can pull of some amazing harmonies. Anyways, with their different styles, it would be cool to see how they could convert other songs into their genre.

Lily and James have covered Whompy’s “Draco and Harry” and a Lupin’s song that I can’t recall. And both times they provided their own fantastic style to those songs.

So I would love for them to cover more perhaps to throw in some of the funk they are known for.
