Keeping the Spirit Alive

Plenty of people take this time of year to do good. Call it the Christmas spirit, benevolence, magnanimity, kindness, whatever. Regardless, it’s a lovely thing to witness.

I was thinking about how I would use these adjectives to describe our community throughout the year. At any given time, there is someone out there planning, working toward, or even just thinking about how they could do well.

If you happen to be in the “thinking” phase, we’ve got a good opportunity for you. For the second year, the PWNcast of Wrock has put together a wizard rock calendar for 2010. So, far, Cody and Julia have sold enough to cover the costs of printing and shipping them, but there are still about 50 calendars left! For $15 in the U.S. or $17.50 internationally, you can get a year’s worth of pictures, lyrics, and a general reminder of how much good you (and the rest of the community) are doing.

Each calendar sold will directly benefit the Harry Potter Alliance. Get yours here today!

Both my sister and I wanted calenders, so my mom ordered two under her name. Yesterday we got ONE addressed to my SISTER. Since it is my Christmas present for her, I volunteered to wrap it. Then I spent ten minutes looking at it before actually wrapping it, and it is awesome. I hope mine comes soon.

Um, speaking of calenders, I have mime now, and I noticed that in December they messed up the numbers so the last week reads 24, 25, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31. I think we will be having two Christmases next year.
