Mini Weekly Wrock Wrap Up

With our pending departure being so soon (it took us a little off-guard!), we wanted to leave everyone with a few news tidbits before we left.

General News
MC Chris has decided to give wizard rock a try, and has changed his name to MC Longbottom. Check out his new song at his MySpace.

Matt of The Whomping Willows and Lauren of The Moaning Myrtles have bought a house together! I spoke to Lauren about it, and she told me, “It was a bit like Miracle on 34th Street. I just jumped out of the car at a stop sign, and ran up to the front door and started knocking on it like a crazy person. Luckily, the people who owned it were about to put it on the market, so we made them an offer right away. There’s an extra bedroom for Nina, and we are hoping that she will join us there.” Here’s a picture:

Justin of Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills is opening his own candy store, despite his dentist’s advice. While being cagey about most of his plans, he assured me that “something will be whipped in the basement”.

Shows
Remember how Tom Felton spoke with Brian of Draco and the Malfoys in January? That was some good networking on his part! The Malfoys will be opening for Tom’s first show, at the premiere of Half Blood Prince in London! Brian said he is hoping that Tom will agree to stand onstage with them while they play ‘Tom Felton’s Kinda Hot’.

Albums
Creevey Crisis is taking a new direction with his music. You can read about it here, and hear his new song here.

The new Ministry of Magic album, Onward and Upward, will be reviewed by Rolling Stone! Keep checking back here for details.

Songs
Catchlove has posted a new song on his MySpace, ‘The Best F**king Quidditch Player’. Jace told me that he was “sick of all this wizard rock nonsense about love” and that he hopes to use his time on hiatus to try and get a gig singing backup for Slayer’s next album.

Movies
WB has announced that ‘The Weapon’ by Harry and the Potters will be played during the credits of the second Deathly Hallows movie. Congratulations, guys!

Hey! This is the last time you’ll ever see our name here. Why?

Because we have splitten up. Archie left to do his own thing, but I am forging on, and Dawlish and the Archies is now known as Glitter and Vamp – the best darn Twi-rock band out there! We have a new song up and a blog post all about it!

    WIZARD ROCK IS DEAD.

I totally want to buy the house next door to Lauren and Matt. I feel like they’d be good neighbors. Anyone want to live there with me?
